The Indie Meme Film Festival entertains and engages the community by showcasing powerful South Asian stories from diverse perspectives. It also provides a platform for post-screening discussions between audiences and filmmakers.
After pivoting to a virtual format just a month before the scheduled in-person festival in 2020, the 2021 Indie Meme Film Festival introduced an exciting, customized interactive platform for a fully virtual experience. I designed and illustrated the virtual festival map and Q&A waiting rooms for audience and filmmaker discussions. By creating 3D perspective illustrations, I transported visitors into an altered reality, fostering dynamic conversations during the height of the pandemic.
